The journal is the tool that separates the people who get better at this from the people who just repeat it. Three lines per experience, one page per month — that’s the whole method, and it’s the highest-leverage habit in the entire gummy practice.
The three lines
- What: product, flavor, dose (one gummy, 3mg, after dinner, 6:15pm).
- What it was like: one sentence on the build, one on the peak, one on the fade. Not a review — a measurement. “Gentle build, social peak, clean fade.”
- Context: food (what, when), sleep (last night), stress (1–10), weather, company, music.
Why context is the point
The dose is constant — 3mg, every gummy, lab-verified on the lab reports page. What varies is everything else, and the context line is how you find out which variable actually moved the experience. Two weeks of entries will show you that your sleep and your food matter more than you think, and that “the one that felt different” had a specific, findable reason. The microdosing guide uses the same journal for the everyday line — one line per day, same columns.
The review cadence
- Weekly: five minutes, read the entries, adjust one thing (the food, the timing, the flavor).
- Monthly: the pattern review — which flavors keep reappearing, which timings keep working, which contexts keep producing the good entries. The seasonal guide is the template for the flavor rotation.
- Before a change: switching lines (Desert Stardust → Motel Magic) or formats (gummy → chocolate) is a journal event — the entries on either side are the comparison data. The format difference: the comparison.
What the journal is not
It’s not a medical record, not a tolerance claim, and not a reason to push a dose. The dosing framework is the rule for adjustments; the journal is the data that tells you whether the adjustment was right. The FAQ has the safety section; the journal is the half of the practice that makes the safety section matter less, because you’re not guessing.
Start tonight: three lines, one experience, the habit that pays for itself by week two. The full first-timer setup is in the first gummy guide — add the journal line and you’re running the whole system.
