How Long Do Mushroom Gummies Last? The Full Timeline (Build, Peak, Fade)

“How long does it last?” is the second-most-asked question in our inbox, and the answer is more useful than you’d think — because timing is how you plan the whole evening. Here’s the timeline for our gummies, hour by hour.

The standard timeline (one gummy, food in stomach)

  • 0–15 min: nothing. This is normal and it’s the part first-timers panic about. The gummy is in your stomach; digestion has to happen first.
  • 15–45 min: the whisper. A slight warmth, a settling. Some people feel nothing yet. Still normal.
  • 45–60 min: the arrival. The elevation starts to build — easier conversation, warmer colors. You’re getting there.
  • 60–180 min: the ride (peak zone). The experience proper: relaxed, social, smooth. Music sounds better than it should. This is the part you planned for.
  • 180–300 min: the fade. A gradual sunset, not a switch. The room gets ordinary again, slowly, over about an hour.
  • Total: 3–5 hours from gummy to fully back to baseline.

What moves the clock

  • Food. A full meal slows everything by 15–30 minutes and softens the peak — which is why we dose after eating.
  • Body. Metabolism, weight, and habit all shift the curve. Your second bag will feel differently timed than your first; that’s information, not error.
  • Format. Chocolate runs 60–90 minutes to onset and 4–6 hours total — the slow curve, explained in the format comparison. The microdose line is a different animal: subtle and all-day, not a 4-hour ride.
  • Dose. A second gummy (experienced users, deliberate choice) extends and deepens. The framework for that decision is in One Gummy or Two.

Planning around the timeline

Backward from bedtime: if you want to be home and winding down by 10pm, take the gummy around 5:30–6pm after dinner. If the trip ends with a drive, the driver was chosen before the gummy, not after. And the golden rule from the FAQ: never dose with a hard stop coming — the fade is longer than it feels, and 3am is not a good place to discover that.
